Hod helped start our Ski Patrol at PNS. Hod first started patrolling in 1960 at a little ski area in Lebanon, Ohio (Morrow Ski Hill) and then transferred to Sugarcreek Ski Area in 1965. Hod was part of the group of patrollers who came down from Sugarcreek when PNS opened. They taught first aid, ski and toboggan training and also provided on-the-hill coverage. Hod was very dedicated and very helpful. Long time patrollers remember him from the initial first aid class and also refreshers. He was a friendly man who was very dedicated to the NSP and he helped many new patrollers get started. After the Dayton team got us started many joined our patrol when Sugarcreek closed.
Hod was also a navy veteran joining just as WW II was ending and he worked as an engineer at GE for 35 years.
